‘Trust in the Lord with all your hear and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight’ – Proverbs 3:5-6

Recently I’ve been speaking to a couple of people who are going through completely different experiences but with very similar emotions. They’ve explained what’s going on in their lives but have said that they’re not sure what to do or what the outcome of something could be. These people are going through a season in their life where they may be confused, worried and unhopeful of the things that might come next. When a season like this occurs in everyones lives it can be very hard to know what to do (if anything) and who to turn too for support.

Since, speaking to these people I feel like God has put it on my heart to speak about this type of season, because we’ll all go through it.

This is the kind of season, when you have no idea what to do. You have no idea if you should just sit, wait and do nothing, or if you should do something. But then, if do something what do you do?? During this kind of season there are so many possible outcomes and so much of what to do or what you don’t do is unknown. Generally, whether you’re a christian or not, this season in your life can be very hard, feel very long and very unpredictable.

When this season hits our lives we can often fill our minds with so many questions to the point that we stress ourselves out more than we need to. What I feel we should do during these times, is stop, look at what’s in front of us and take the time to figure out what we need to do. In this season we should speak to someone, let them know what you’re going through, ask them to pray for you and ask for their advice. During these times in your life, ask God what direction He wants you to go in. In this season, look at the possible outcomes and think about what you think is right, realistic and best for you.

I know it can be so hard when you have no idea what’s coming. Whatever you’re going through; a decision with work, a situation with family or relationships, a decision for your future, whatever it is… it will happen how it’s supposed to, when it’s supposed to. And even if the outcome isn’t what you wanted or expected, it will make sense. God will bring the right thing into your life, at the right time. You just have to trust. He knows you. He knows whites best for you and one day you’ll look back at season in your life and realise why it had to happen. It may take time, but it all happen when it’s supposed to.

Take the time to look and your situation. Ask for advice and support. Pray and see what God wants. Think about what is best for you. It will make sense and everything will fall into place when the time is right.
