Throw Around Kindness

I think that we can all agree 2020 has been one for the books. Unfortunately, it will be in the books for more bad reasons than good. It’s been a difficult year for everyone. For many, ‘difficult’ will be seen as an understatement.

We’ve all experienced this together. And although we’ve physically had to be apart, I think that there’s beauty in the fact that we’ve all experienced this together. It’s true that no two people will have had the exact same reactions, emotions or events this year, but we’ve still all faced the same storm, just may have taken a different path through.

The best way I can process how we’ve been through this together but also individually is like this;

Imagine you’re at the movies with a group of friends. You all stay in the theatre for the entire movie. You witness the exact same story as your friends, however when you leave the theatre to talk about your experience with this story, you have completely different reactions and emotions to the characters and the story you’ve just witnessed.

It’s the same with life… the same with 2020. We may have faced something together, but we’ve all had a different experience. And that’s more than okay!

This year has been tough. We are so aware of this and although this year is nearly over we believe there is so much more that we can bring out of 2020. We are calling December 2020 our month of kindness. Christmas, this season, is a time for love, family, friends and festivities and we are aware that Christmas this year is going to look very different. But despite the differences this year, we are determined to spread love and kindness and are encouraging you to do the same.

We’ve all witnessed the same year, just experienced it slightly differently. But one thing we can all agree on is that we all need a little bit of kindness and love this Christmas. This month is going to be filled with ways that we can spread kindness to one another, kindness towards ourselves and ways in which there is love in the hardest of times, in the midst of darkness. We hope and pray that kindness and love will be all around you this Christmas. Stay tuned for the content we’ve got coming for you all! Let’s throw kindness around this Christmas!
