Remember this…

So how about this season we’re all going through?? It’s definitely a strange one, that’s for sure!

Some would say that it’s exactly what they needed; peace & quiet, time for family, time to themselves, time to dig into Gods word and to learn new skills! Then, on the flip side, people would say that this is their worst possible scenario; not being able to leave the house, see friends, hug people, go on coffee dates or even go to work and school. Most commonly however, I would say that this season has been a mix of positives and negatives for everyone. The uncertainty that this season carries can be quite unsettling and confusing. So, I just wanted to remind you of a few things you may have forgotten;

ONEYou are not alone.

Loneliness before this season was already a big emotion that I had seen affect peoples lives, so I can’t even begin to imagine how lonely some of you may be feeling during this lockdown. Whether it’s loneliness from quite literally being alone or feeling as if you’re facing everything in this season by yourself…I just want you to take a second to read these four words… you are NOT alone. And I realise that just looking at those words may not take away the loneliness you feel and they may not reassure you either but in your every day remember this…

You are not facing this on your own. God knows what you are going through. He hears your voice, He hears your silence, He sees your situation and He sees you. He is right beside you, caring about your every move and your every thought. He is walking with you today, and every day that follows. Together, with Jesus, you will face this season and every season after this head on. If there’s nothing else you take from this post just know a very simple equation ~ YOU + JESUS = THE DREAM TEAM ~ and best part of that equation is the fact that Jesus is never leaving your side, so there’s really nothing you can’t handle, there’s nothing you will ever face alone.

Remember: You are not alone.

TWOYou have so much coming for you.

For I know the plans I have you” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future”

Jeremiah 29:11 [NIV]

Ordinarily, you may look at Jeremiah 29:11 and feel so reassured and excited that God has a plan for you. But when we’re literally in the middle of a pandemic, with our country in lockdown and the news telling us that it will be months and months before the old ‘normal’ can even be considered, it’s hard to feel like you’ve got such an amazing future a head of you.

2020 might be a different sort of year for us all, some of us may have had to physically stop working, but God hasn’t. Right now, He is preparing you for your future, for you to become the person that He has created you to be. The world may be at a pause, but God certainly isn’t. He’s still got a plan for you and He’s preparing you for it right now. You have so much coming for you, so many amazing things that have been designed specifically for you and that you have been prepared for. So know that Jesus has a plan for you, to prosper you and to give you a hope and a future.

Remember: You have so much coming for you.

THREEThis is just a season.

As hard as it may be to see, this really is just a season. Life isn’t going to be like this forever. Trust me, I know that it feels never ending, exhausting and unpredictable but it is just a season.

What you’ve got to remember during this season is that God knows what He’s doing…He knows what the outcome is and He’s understands this season on a bigger level than any of us can even fathom. He’s got you and He’s got this season. So take a deep breath and trust Him.

Remember: This is just a season.
