God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of dayPsalms 46:5 [NLT]
Ladies, this is a reminder that God is within you. God does not make mistakes no matter how much we think He does… you are God’s greatest creation.
The past month I have made it my mission to get back on track with God and allow myself to be more connected with Him and to really open myself up in a way I don’t think I have done before. I promised myself that no matter how down or unmotivated I felt it wasn’t going to prevent me from opening my Bible and really listen to Gods words.
I have always been a big advocate on teaching my younger cousins that no matter how awful things are going that we are so much stronger than the problems we are facing. I want all the girls that I know and the ones reading this to be very aware that no matter how worthless we feel or someone else has made us feel, that we are worth millions to God. And no ones opinion is more important when it compares to God’s opinion.
When I was younger and even now I am told;
“Beth when you should find a man who will, guide you, love you and treat you as you should be treated, you’ll be happier and more content..”
I always thought it sounded weird when people would say that like there was something in my heart and gut that actually disagreed with the people that would say that, because there are so many impressionable young girls out there who will base their entire exitance around finding a relationship all because we have been told its what we must have to be happy and what we as young girls deserve.
Now I’m not saying that having a relationship is a bad thing because it isn’t at all. Love is a beautiful thing and there are so many things you can have from a relationship, but what I am saying is it shouldn’t be a necessity or treated like it’s an end goal in our lives.
Love starts with ourselves.
So take time out of your day to grow and spend time loving yourself.
1 Corinthians 13:1 [NLT]
Love is patient and love is kind
You can’t go around looking for love if you don’t love yourself. I never thought self love was important but it really is. There is so much you can achieve by just loving yourself before you throw yourself into a relationship.
I never thought I was worthy of love or to be loved by anyone, even family and friends. But after spending some much needed time with God and just living a life where myself and God are the main priority for myself, things became so much easier and weights that I didn’t even know were weighing me down were suddenly lifted off of me. I started liking the clothes I was wearing, the body I was given and the personality that I have. All because I am now aware that I am Gods beautiful creation that He so dearly adores and will do anything He can to make sure I am safe and cared for.
If there is one thing I want you to take away from reading this and its that;
You are beautiful, loved and so wonderfully made.
