‘I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.’ – Psalm 139:14 [NIV]
Beautiful. This is a word that people use to describe how a person looks. Its a word we all want to hear from someone. If we could pick one word that we wish we were, most of us would say beautiful. But the truth is, that you already are beautiful. You always have been and you always will be. Now, I understand that it’s hard and almost feels impossible to agree with sometimes, I don’t always believe it either, but, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.
Sometimes, we let the negativity take over. We allow the words of the enemy speak louder than the words of our creator. We focus on the one negative comment and become blind to all of the positives. We allow ourselves to believe that what we see online is the definition of ‘real’ beauty when the truth is, we know that isn’t reality. We base our worth on the amount of likes and followers we have. We think that beauty is defined by the number that’s on the scale or the grades we get on a test. We let these things take over and take control, to the point where we can’t pick out one good thing about ourselves anymore…
But the truth of it all is that your worth isn’t defined by the amount of likes or followers you have. Its not found in the number that’s on the scale or the grade on your test. Your worth is found in who God says you are. When you allow yourself to be who He says you are, you begin to realise that you are beautiful, intelligent, strong, courageous, inspiring, precious and loved more than you will ever know by Him. you realise that in Him you are FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY made. In Him you are set free and in Him you are beautiful.
For you to realise these things, it may take a while, but to do it, you have to let go of all of the negative thoughts and replace them with the love and the goodness that God speaks over you. You need to give all this negativity to Jesus and allow Him to show you who you were created to be and who you are in him. You need to let Him show you that you are beautiful.
When you know this..don’t let anybody tell you otherwise because you are FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY made. In him you are beautiful.
