‘He has made everything beautiful in its time’ – Ecclesiastes 3:11 [NIV]
Being you. Something that should be the easiest thing to do but can sometimes actually be the hardest.
People are so fixed on the ‘perfect person’ or being who society claims they should be that it can cause us to lose confidence in ourselves or lose who we are as individuals.
Being different and unique is what makes every single one of us who we are. The amazing thing about meeting people or walking past a stranger in the street is that you’ll never meet someone else who is exactly like that. Everyone is different. Everyone was created differently in the image of God and that is not something to shy away from but something we should all stand and be proud of.
Being different doesn’t make you weird. It makes you human. Right now. As you are is just the way it’s supposed to be. Jesus made you that way. He made you completely unique from every person you’ll ever meet. And I’d say that’s a really cool thing. There’s only one you. Because there’s only one you, be you. Be everything you’re supposed to be. Don’t put on a mask, just be yourself. If people don’t except you for being yourself… then they’re obviously not supposed to be a big part in your life but are supposed to be a part in someone else’s.
By being yourself you will begin to have the most genuine and real relationships with the people around you. Being yourself means you can just be. You don’t have to put on an act you can just be you. And that’s the best you can be. That’s who you were designed to be. Be proud of that.
